History
The Dental Clinic at Christ Lutheran Church began its mission in August 2010, dedicated to providing essential dental care to community members in need. Located on the church’s second floor, this free clinic operates through the generosity of local dentists who volunteer their time, supported by dental assistants on the church's payroll. A translator is also available to assist non-English speakers with understanding procedures and follow-up care, ensuring every patient feels informed and cared for.
Services
Operating three mornings each month, typically on Fridays or Saturdays, the clinic sees patients on a first-come, first-served basis, focusing on those experiencing active dental pain. Each visitor receives a comprehensive exam and consultation. With the support of a 360-degree x-ray machine, volunteer dentists can assess each case accurately, performing essential treatments like extractions and fillings. Annually, the clinic helps between 300 and 400 patients, relieving pain and restoring smiles.

Impact
Demand far outpaces availability; for every patient treated, another must be turned away due to limited resources. In response, we are actively working toward expanding the clinic. Plans to move the facility to the first floor will allow us to create a larger space, add more chairs, and ultimately accommodate more patients, better meeting the community’s pressing dental care needs.
